Amelia Wattenberger is a Staff Research Engineer on the Office of the CTO team at GitHub.

She has a long history doing front-end development and design, with a focus on data visualization (check out her book on d3), and is passionate about innovating on developer experiences and building things (in any medium).

Inside Amelia’s Workspace

Items:

  • A Wacom Cintiq monitor with stylus, for drawing and noodling in Figma

  • A Kyria keyboard, custom built with the parts ordered from splitkb.com

  • A Logitech Trackman Wheel optical mouse with thumb wheel - it’s been my daily mouse for almost a decade and I still love it

  • A Glowforge laser cutter for turning digital designs into physical things

  • A cozy reading & thinking nook with a half-finished painting and some prints from Amber Vittoria

  • A nice mic with adjustable arm for podcasting and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio daq, along with Edifier desk speakers

You can learn more about Amelia and read some of her thoughts on her personal website here.
