Inside Christine's Workspace

Items:

What is your favorite item in your workspace?

It's gotta be my kooky rainbow pom-pom wall hanging that I bought off of a neighbor via a Facebook group a few years ago. It's weird but makes me so happy. My other favorite (more practical) item is this basic $10 pink calculator I got as a Christmas gift. I love the tactile feeling and not having to pull out my phone for simple math. Plus, it's cute 😊

How do you spark creativity?

Not that I'm great at this, but to be truly creative I need to allow myself uninterrupted time to get into the zone with no other objective other than to play. Having no expectations or goals gets me away from perfectionism and into the present moment. I'm always glad when I make time for myself in this way – it's healing.

How do you manage work-life balance?

This is getting harder than it used to be now that I'm running a business! Easier said than done, but it helps to remind myself that the work will be there when I'm ready for it, that not everything is urgent, and that I need to get outside and away from my devices. Rest and space away from work is so necessary.

What do you think is the main benefit of remote work?

As someone who is physically and mentally sensitive to stress, being in my own environment keeps me much healthier overall. I'm also able to work in an office that's decorated exactly how I want! Not many corporate environments would let me do what you see in the photos, and having a space that's completely my own really brightens up the workweek. ☀️
