What is your favorite item in your workspace?
My Desk Setup. I cannot pick a single item. It's the combination of all of them that makes my home office an amazing place to work. I could work with just my laptop, but that wouldn't be as fun.
Okay, okay. If you want me to name one, I’ll probably pick my desk. There’s something about it that just elevates my space. It is the centerpiece of the whole space.
How do you spark creativity?
As a content creator, I find inspiration outside of my niche. While watching other people's videos, it's hard not to view them from a work/research perspective, which can be overwhelming. To find inspiration, I often step away and do something completely different, such as watching movies/TV shows, going on a hike, or being around people.
How do you manage work-life balance?
I think the first step in order to achieve work-life balance is acknowledging my limitations and accepting that I cannot do everything. This realization allows me to prioritize tasks and focus on what truly matters. As a self-employed individual, this can be challenging. It is easy to get lost in work or neglect it altogether. Implementing systems has been helpful in attaining a balance. Additionally, I utilize tools such as Google Drive, Notion, and Analog by Ugmonk to manage my to-do lists and stay organized.
What do you think is the main benefit of remote work?
It would have to be the flexibility of schedule. Having the ability to choose my own work schedule and take breaks as needed is particularly important to me, especially as a new dad.
