For the past few years David Bustos has been working as Head of Email at Starter Story, sending nearly 3M emails every month.

He is also currently working on a personal project, Send Good Emails, to make email marketing easier for solo founders, small teams and freelancers by curating a database of email sequences from world class companies.

Hands down, my laptop. I can get everything done just with it. Didn’t have a chair or desk for months. I got used to work on the couch with the laptop.

› How do you spark creativity?

I get distracted easily, so I found I do my best work late at night. When everything is quiet, and you get zero notifications.

› Favorite apps

Shoutout to all the readers with a family. We have worked very hard to organize our schedules around our 2 year old daughter. We all walk together to preschool, and spend the afternoons and weekends together. This is non-negotiable for now and I hope it can stay like that for a long time because it makes me as happy as I can be.
