Luca Mezzalira is a Principal Solutions Architect at AWS where he helps customers design and implement serverless workloads as efficiently as possible. He was previously the VP of Architecture at DAZN.

As a content creator, the modularity of his space allows him to use it for his day job at AWS but also as a recording studio for his YouTube channel.

"Every single item in this home office was selected for enabling me to create cinematic video as well delivering webinars or making call with customers."

What is the most recent item that you've added to your workspace?

❝

I'm a huge fan of the Oakywood products. Recently I've added the modular drawer and the desk mat. Both are a perfect fit for my desk style. The contract of pure white with oak wood is very relaxing and I feel the contact with the nature.

How do you spark creativity?

❝

I love creating after dinner, with the quiet of the night. I usually tune some Lo-Fi playlists from Spotify to create a relaxing moment for my brain and I start to create. Some evenings might be a script for a new YouTube video, some others could be the slides for a public talk I have in my head for a while, other times I just take out a book and I learn something new. In the past months I invested time reading about how to spark creativity. Two books I highly recommend are:

The Creative Act

The Artist's Way

‍But creativity for me is a state of mind that follows me for the entire day. Therefore I am using a second brain in Notion that helps to gather everything that inspires me from social media or online researches and what I read or learn listening to a podcast. If you want to learn more about the second brain, watch this video I made where I describe how I've embedded inside my day.
