What's the most useful thing in your workspace?
I believe in a desk setup; a few things are key.
First is my desk—everything with purpose.
Second is my systems. I use the most important systems that help me be more productive.
Example: I use every app with a purpose.
Notion for my clients and CRM
Evernote is my favourite note-taking app. (I use Apple Notes for private stuff, but Evernote works better for sharing notes or building systems)
For todos, I use Reminders; for writing, I use iA Writer; and for scheduling, I use Fantastical Calendar.
This is my super simple stack every thing purpose.
What does your day look like?
Most of my days are divided into three parts: building, creating, and managing.
Morning: Meditation and deep work (personal + client)
Afternoon (Creating): Focus on content creation
Evening (Managing): Editing, writing, systems, workout
How do you spark creativity?
To be honest, if you have to do something, there is no choice because everything comes with a cost.
My creativity comes from deep thinking, writing, and sometimes watching animated movies. I also use Silva Method meditation in the mornings—it helps clear my mind before building.
My favourite places for inspiration are books and Pinterest. Sometimes the best ideas come when I'm just present or taking walks.
But honestly, creativity isn't about waiting for inspiration. It's about showing up and doing the work, even when you don't feel like it.
What is the most recent item that you have added to your workspace, and why did you add it?
The first thing I added was the Apple Pro Display XDR. As a designer, I need pixel-perfect details and accurate colors for my work.
Then I added the Standing Desk (Oak) from Oakywood. This is my favourite item in the studio—I’ve always wanted a real oak, functional desk that inspires me to come in and enjoy my work.
After that, I added a few more things to complete the setup and boost my productivity:
Logitech MX Master 4: a great mouse for my work
Orbitkey Desk Mat Slim: a minimal desk mat where I can hide my notes underneath
CalDigit TS4: connects all my accessories—very powerful
How has using a standing desk changed your daily work habits or routine?
To be honest, I use the standing function of my desk strategically rather than constantly. I stand during client calls, while working on the treadmill, and to combat afternoon slumps. What has changed for me is my awareness; I'm now more intentional about managing my posture and energy levels.
When I feel unmotivated, switching to standing for 20 to 30 minutes really makes a difference. Additionally, my Oakywood desk integrates with the Desk Connect app, which sends me reminders to change positions. It’s a simple feature, but it’s very helpful.
What is an item under $100 that everyone should have in their workspace?
Here are a few items I love on my desk—they're quite helpful:
Orkeybit: Desk Mat Slim
Oakywood: 2in1 Headphones Stand
Ugmonk: Analog, Analog Weekly Kit
OakyWood: Pen Tray (OakyBlocks)
OakyWood: My favourite Catchall Tray
Grovemade: Notepad
What are a few items that cost $100+ that are also worth the investment?
Oakywood: Desk Shelf
Mouse**: Logitech MX Master 4**
Nomad: Stand One
